Theres no doubt you could discuss this until the cows come home, it really down to how someone perceives it, dependent on how they feeling etc. etc.
My thoughts is that it depend if its just been poured, then is half full, or if it was full and some has just drunk half then it half empty?! isn’t it?
March 14th, 2008 at 8:56 pm
This is a bit to deep for me, now it’s talking about whether a beer is half empty or full, then it truly depends on how pissed i am
March 25th, 2008 at 8:02 pm
It’s a full cup!
March 25th, 2008 at 8:16 pm
Hi agree with lianne, the cup is half full.
March 30th, 2008 at 6:50 pm
Phliosophy is so deep that you can look at this from many different ways but the end of the day it’s down to your perception so for me it depends on my mood somtimes its full sometimes empty.

The glass is neither half empty nor half full, it is just exactly twice as big as necessary.
June 30th, 2008 at 6:10 pm
It is FULL.
1/2 Full with a liquid (possibly water)
1/2 Full with air.
Please keep the philosophy aside as it was inveted for half achievers.
When was the last time you were happy with half a steak when you ordered a full one in a resturant?
Keep smiling

The question is very straight forward and the conclusion logical .But does it really matter …? for the pessimistic it’s half empty and to the optimistics it’s probably half full… !
From where I look at it …. I’d pick the glass up…gulp it down …!
October 3rd, 2008 at 9:46 am
I’d say that the glass is too big.
December 5th, 2008 at 11:52 pm
Son, don’t ask neither how full, nor empty is your glass
lol sorry I’m obsessive
February 1st, 2009 at 12:31 am
depending on logic i would say, did it start full or start empty, if it started full it was empting so its half empty but if it started empty it was being filled so is half full.

If your having too much trouble finding translation online, you can also look up Indonesian translation. Indonesian is really close to Malay and I’m sure you could use your head to find the meaning from that.
April 17th, 2010 at 9:21 am
It’s half full but is it exactly half?
April 29th, 2010 at 1:47 pm
I think both ways of looking at it are justified. If you need to put a positive spin on a situation, it’s best to look at it in a glass half full kind of way. But if you’re struggling and know you need to improve the situation, it’s better to look at it in a glass half empty kind of way so it motivates you to do better.
Till then,
Jean

It’s really easy to be lulled into a sense of thinking half empty all the time, as that’s human nature to want to want more and do more. But if we’re caught up in that rat race all our lives, we might miss out on some things. So it’s best to be happy with a semi-full glass at times and think of all the people that have only a few drops in their glass.

After some pondering recently, I’ve realized that if you can somehow manage to be happy with moderation in everything, you will not have to ponder the question about the glass being half full or half empty. But those of us with a constant drive to achieve something will always see it as half empty because there is always the next goal.
December 24th, 2010 at 7:25 am
It was originally a sort of trick question. In reality the glass is neither half empty nor half full. It is entirely full, its contents being 50% water and 50% air. Some people think (not based on anything in particular) that which of the incorrect answers a person chooses reveals whether they are typically optimistic or pessimistic.

Philosophy is life’s dry-nurse, who can take care of us - but not suckle us.Whatever I take, I take too much or too little; I do not take the exact amount. The exact amount is no use to me.Thanks a lot author you write a great article.
April 13th, 2011 at 5:44 am
Well I am on my way to becoming a professor in philosophy so I see it as the most amazing of disciplines. It uses reason alone to understand the world instead of empirical evidence. Without philosophy we would be doomed to being unable to fundamentally understanding the world which therefore increases our appreciation of it.Thanks for such nice post.

One thing I’d really like to say is always that car insurance cancellation is a hated experience so if you’re doing the right things as a driver you will not get one. A number of people do obtain notice that they are officially dropped by the insurance company and several have to struggle to get more insurance after the cancellation. Low cost auto insurance rates tend to be hard to get from cancellation. Knowing the main reasons for auto insurance cancellation can help owners prevent burning off one of the most significant privileges accessible. Thanks for the strategies shared through your blog.
August 29th, 2011 at 11:53 am
I have noticed that car insurance organizations know the automobiles which are vulnerable to accidents along with other risks. They also know what sort of cars are prone to higher risk and also the higher risk they’ve already the higher the actual premium rate. Understanding the uncomplicated basics of car insurance will let you choose the right sort of insurance policy that should take care of your preferences in case you happen to be involved in an accident. Appreciate your sharing the particular ideas on your own blog.
